DOEE’s Watershed Protection Division awarded the Tree Canopy Restoration Grant to Casey Trees in October 2023. The purpose of this grant is to work toward the District's objective to increase tree canopy coverage to 40% by 2032 by planting residential trees through programs like RiverSmart Homes, large community private properties, and on public DC lands. This also provides tree rebates to residents.
