Lancaster Clean Water Partners is the backbone of an amazing network of partners who do the boots-on-the ground work of restoring clean water in Lancaster County. This video features just a few of the many projects and partner organizations that are making a difference in their shared goal of achieving clean and clear water in Lancaster County by 2040!

This project was made possible through a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, with support from Chesapeake Bay Trust, Chesapeake Bay Funders Network and Chesapeake Bay Program.

Each year, approximately 400 District students attend the Anacostia Environmental Youth Summit. At this FREE outdoor event students interact with environmental educators from numerous public and private organizations and engage in hands-on learning experiences including Citizen Science BioBlitz and interpretive boat rides on the Anacostia River.

DOEE’s Watershed Protection Division awarded the Tree Canopy Restoration Grant to Casey Trees in October 2023! The purpose of this grant is to work toward the District's objective to increase tree canopy coverage to 40% by 2032 by planting residential trees through programs like RiverSmart Homes, large community private properties, and on public DC lands. This also provides tree rebates to residents!

Endangered Species Coalition's Pollinator Protectors campaign creates habitat for native pollinators and plants across the United States. Since 2019, ESC has collaborated with DC Natives, providing funding for native plants to establish pollinator habitat in neighborhoods and communities in Washington, DC.
